Sudan: Foreign Minister to Start European Tour Tuesday

Foreign Minister, Dr Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed will visit France Tuesday in an European tour which will also take him to Germany, European Union, Belgium and Britain.

Foreign Ministry Official Spokesman, Ambassador Babiker Al-Sidiq said in a statement that the Foreign Minister will discuss with foreign ministers of the countries mentioned above bilateral relations in various fields and issues of common interest.

He added Dr Al-Dirdiri will acquaint his European counterparts on Sudan's efforts to realize stability in the region, progress of implantation of peace deal in South Sudan State, Sudan endeavors to push reconciliatory process in Central African Republic (CAR) and Sudan's joint efforts with Libya' neighboring countries.

Ambassador Al-Sidiq further added that the Foreign Minister will also hold talks with the EU Commissioner for External Affairs on significant developments in Sudan-EU relations.

It is worth mentioning that the Foreign Minister met in the sideline of Palermo Conference on Libya with his Italian counterpart and discussed with him ways of fostering relations between the two countries, particularly in economic domain.
