Goals from Paul Pogba in the 18th minute and Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s close-range goal in the 48th minute secured Jose Mourinho’s men their second trophy of the season.
The success means United become the fifth club in history to have won all three major European trophies.
The win also earns the club a place in next season’s Champions League group stage and will be in Pot 2 for August’s group stage draw.
The Premier League will have five teams in next season’s Champions League.
